trekking at the end of the world
duration: 4 hours
Leaving the pier, we drive north-east to Reserva Natural Tierra Mayor (a protected national park), located in the foothills of the Alvear mountain range.
Our two-hour trek commences at the Nunatak shelter, offering a splendid view of the thick forest of Lengas (the typical tree of the region), and with luck a variety of birds. We continue across ancient peat bogs before reaching the Alvear Mountains and the panoramic viewpoint of five waterfalls. During the trek, we learn about the life of the resident beavers.
There will be time for individual walks and photos prior to transit back to the pier.
