This tour gives us a chance to combine a visit to Tierra del Fuego National Park with a catamaran cruise of the Beagle Channel.
After we board our bus, we will head towards the National Park where there is a marvellous opportunity to spot some of the worlds most unique and isolated plants and wildlife. The stark, grey and angular remains of forests devastated by fires many years ago appear as statues in the green countryside, while perfectly preserved sites hold the history and secrets of native Yaghan Indians, intrepid English missionaries and the inmates of the old penal settlements.
Next we shall board a sightseeing catamaran for a trip along the Beagle Channel. We can enjoy the breathtaking vista of the channel and the surrounding mountains, and soak up spectacular views of Ushuaia, Mount Oliva, the vast Fique and Tunel Estancias, sheep farms, Mount Escarpado, and finally the historic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, sitting at the end of the world.
On the return journey, we’ll have a close-up look at the colonies of Sea Lions and Birds Islands, as we head by the Bridges Islands and finally through Chico Pass back to Ushuaia.
